From a relaxed local pub, to coffee and cake, to a Raymond Blanc restaurant  – if you can drag yourself away from your own slice of woodland heaven, you’re spoilt for choice within minutes of leaving the cabin.


Seven Stars Pub, Dinton – a favourite of ours, plus one of the nearest pubs to the cabin!  10% discount (when ordering food and drink) whilst staying at The Woodland Cabin.

Bugle Horn, Stone – a popular family pub with an wide range of food and drink choices

2.1 miles (40 min walk)

The Crown, Cuddington – a pretty, traditional thatched pub in a picturesque Midsomer Murders village

The Dinton Hermit, Ford – a smart gastropub with ales from the local XT Brewery

The Harrow, Bishopstone – recently renovated, with a stylish outdoor bar area and excellent, locally-sourced produce on their menu

Black Goo, Thame - a café and tap room, famous for its brunches and oversized cakes to die for.  Make sure you visit when you’re hungry.

6.5 miles (12 min drive) 


The Black Horse, Thame - upmarket yet unpretentious is the best way to describe Raymond Blanc’s 17th century pub and restaurant.  The delicious menu, guest ales and an extensive wine list are all served with a rustic charm.

No 2 Pound Street, Wendover – a proper artisan deli and the lovely town of Wendover is worth a visit too.  Either pick up independently selected wines and cheese or enjoy their delicious cheese & meat plates, paired with wines by the glass, in-store.
